NHM Matte Painting

I am not sure why I never uploaded this. I think I was going to re-visit and touch up a few things. I did this for the NHM Matte Painting Challenge here at cgtalk. I have included an image of the original plate we had to clean and extend to the left.

I had a lot of fun with this and unfortunately missed the Matte challenge that followed that one. I have to keep my eye out for more though. It was a great learning experience for me.

Haven't you ever wondered where those bunnies come from that magicians pull out of their hats?

I painted this for a challenge titled The Magic of the Forest. I had a bit of a struggle with the bunny and ended up re-painting it, the first one was quite evil looking. I wanted a friendly bunny Enjoy and as always crits and comments are welcome.

I have never done metal before so it was quite a personal challenge for me to paint this. Below is a little detail of the paddleduck. Thanks and enjoy.

This is a painting I did for IFX Fragile Things monthly challenge for August. I had a lot of fun with it and have always wanted to paint a blue butterfly, but had never been pleased with what I did in traditional media.

References used were several dandelions from my "lawn" and a poor roadkill butterfly that was on the grill of the car (it wasn't a blue butterfly but it did have nice wing patterns). I had fun keeping the kitties out of my references.
